As tile creative force behind Soulfarm, New Jersey shore native and guitarist C Lanzbom has long been fascinated with Middle Eastern rhythms.
As a solo artist, however, Lanz born is more interested in subtler sounds - be they acoustic folk, new age jazz or Renaissance-influenced.
His third solo album "Meditations" is a fine showcase for his stellar guitarwork and, indeed, the title is reflective of the album's overall mellow vibe. His intricate style of playing is on tine form throughout,
especially on the Mediterranean-flavored "Mizmor L'David."

Lanzbom keeps the aural focus squarely on his playing, with delicate, supporting flourishes provided by violinist Miri Ben-Air and flutist Darius Kaufman. Keep in mind, this is dinner party music, with the emphasis on "dinner" not "party."

("Meditations" is in stores now.)
